Abouttheclient

Abouttheclient

A leading benefits administration provider offering consumer-directed accounts, retirement and compliance services to employers. Its sales team needed to displace two large benefits management providers but had no reliable way to see which employers used them.

TheChallenge

TheChallenge

Identify employers currently using two named competitors' benefits solutions, understand which benefits products each employer had in place, and reach the right HR, benefits and finance decision-makers. The team also needed the outreach to stay relevant and deliverable, because generic messaging to incumbent-served employers had produced little response.

TheSolution

TheSolution

Meta Insyt built a competitor-flagged employer dataset with the benefits platform in use, employer size and industry, workforce and revenue bands, benefits-technology signals, green verified emails, direct dials, LinkedIn handles and freshness dates. The final dataset contained 36,410 campaign-ready contacts from 7,300+ employer accounts using either competitor's solutions.

Approach

Approach

  1. Identify employers using each competitor's benefits solutions and tag them by product area.

  2. Segment accounts by employee count, industry, geography and incumbent provider. Validate and enrich every HR, benefits, total rewards and finance contact.

  3. Run workshops to build competitor-specific messaging and a six-touch cadence. Execute, measure and improve by segment.

Results

Results

  1. Within the first quarter, qualified employer opportunities increased by approximately 2.9x, and 41% of booked meetings came from competitor-flagged accounts.

  2. Employers running a competitor's solutions responded at a noticeably higher rate to messaging built around their incumbent setup, and 26 employers entered active evaluation.

  3. Deliverability stayed above 98%, email opens averaged 30%, CTR ranged from 8–10%, and response rates reached 4.7%.

Whythisworked

Whythisworked

Knowing each employer's incumbent provider let every message address a specific switching case. Clean green emails protected sender reputation, and contacts across HR, benefits and finance put the right people in the same conversation. Workshops removed low-fit employer segments before outreach began.

Whatwesupplied

Whatwesupplied

  1. 36,410 validated employer contact records with green emails, phones and LinkedIn profiles, plus competitor and benefits-technology flags for each account.

  2. Enrichment for title, seniority, department, employee count, revenue band, industry, geography and verification date.

  3. Competitor-segmented priority lists and messaging workshops.
